The antivirus uses five antivirus engines, including 360 Cloud Engine, CVMII, Avira and Bitdefender. Scanning your computer for threats is quick and we were impressed with your attention to detail. The Avira and Bitdefender engines are disabled by default. That’s good, because RAM can be used, but you have them optional if you want to be more secure. 360 Total Security also includes an optional browser extension that will warn you if a page you are visiting may be malicious. This seems excessive to us, because most browsers warn you today if a site is not secure or dangerous.
Use with care
Accelerated and pure functions are mixed blessings. Both work, but they are not as easy to use as they could be. You can find Clean Up which suggests deleting files which cannot be deleted in use, which is annoying.
Speed Up actually frees up RAM, giving you more power to run games and applications that consume resources. But we had some problems. We had to reinstall Google Chrome after running Speed Up because it had made changes without notifying us, which means that Chrome was no longer working.
Easy to use and not intrusive.
360 Total Security is really easy to use, with a clear and easy to navigate interface. Explain what each function does and it is easy to configure. If you are looking for a non-intrusive antivirus solution that allows you to continue what you are doing, 360 Total Security is a good option.
